Alu/Chrome mirror-covers?

Featured Replies

Hi!

My Octavia is a 2000 mod (lhd) estate with one ordinary and one small mirror. As the car is green, the mirror-covers are also green.

Now there is a big crack in the driver-side cover, and the other one is seriously stone-chipped (after 8 years), so I want to buy new ones for the car. But of course they are delivered in "primed black" finish - ready to be painted. And the price is.... :thumbdwn:

I have seen a Audi S3 with alu-covers - also one "ordinary" and one small mirror as my car, and liked them quite a lot!! They looked quite the same size as mine, but (of course) my VAG-dealer tell me they will not fit my car.

I have tried to find "un-original" solutions, but have not found any so far. They seem to not exist for Skoda.

I am open for suggestions/helpful hints!:)

PS! I have tried Milotec, but they dont deliver small mirror-covers. DS

hey,

i removed mine and painted them last week.

you just need patience filling cracks and rubbing down, i got two tins of paint for £12 and some body filler.

use fine wet and dry, you will have it done in no time

Hi!

I am trying to avoid superglue and painting-jobs. I would rather buy new ones, if they exist.:)
