Interior removal HELP!

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Just managed to get my hands on a full VRS interior for a very tidy sum, so I need to take my seats n doorcards out this weekend coming.

I have used a search to look on here on how to remove the seats, but I didn't find an answer, so if anyone wants to tell me, or if there is a 'how to' floating about could they point me in the right direction please!

Thanks in advance,

Disconnect battery

The front seats:

Remove plastic trim from each seat runner (two on each seat)

Unbolt two nuts from the front (centre) of each seat

Pull seat forwards, lift front edge and then slide the seat back and it will fall out of the back of the runners.

Unclip wiring

Rear seat bases:

Lift the front edge of the seats, then put your hand down the back of the base and lift it up, unclip the metal spring clips and take the bases out.

Not sure about the backs, sorry. I'm sure someone else will be able to tell you this bit.

back seat backs just fold down giving you access to the "hinges"

All you need do is remove the circlips holding the hinge pins in place and lift the seats out.

Not sure about the door cards, but I'll have a look at mine tomorrow and post again if someone hasn't already beaten me to it!

Door cards anyone?? Would really appreciate some help on this one...

Don't forget std VRS front seats don't have airbags fitted.

Yep, realised that yesterday when I fitted them! Now the damned airbag light on the dash is on!!

and I forgot to swap the seatbelt buckle bit over :rolleyes:
