Hi guys,

Im looking to fit an amp in the boot, and wanted to know the best route from boot to battery on the Octavia1 please.

Is there a hole in the bulkhead somewhere to feed the live wire through? Am I better off wiring down the side of the doors or going straight through the middle by the handbrake?

Also, on another note, I will be upgrading the speakers in the boot soon, any reccomendations please?

hi mate,

as i am fitting amp into passengerside, i am running mine down that side. Reason as well is there is a bulkhead grommit on that side behind the airbox (comes out in the scuttle area behind the cabin filter) so seems the obvious side. I have my interior out at the moment and am running the cable in the footwell corner along the sill with other cabling. Its a 4ag wire and will fit fine so you shouldnt have a problem.

lol, no I wish... I love these dogs, always have.. The missus wont allow me to get another dog as we already have a staffy, so I've had to make do with a drawing for now!!

i know they are so cool, misjudged too as always really soppy, its like most dogs, its the owners that make them dodgy. My missus wants a dog prob is she wants a labrador:rolleyes:

It would be best to run the power cables down the side and also keep this in mind that RC chords that run from the Headunit to the amp should never be alongside the power cables, so u'd best run them on the other side so that you dont get any of that annoying alternator whine :thumbdwn:

The stock speaker location in the rear is a 5" speaker but with a little adjustments you can fit a 5 1/2" speaker, check out ground zero from germany......pretty good stuff

p.s - use a minimun of an 8 gauge cable and dont forget the fuse (super important)

Thanks for your advice guys, eventually routed it through the way Sweedish reccomended (thanks!) after taking out the air box and a bit of swearing!
