I have a year old Octy II VRS Estate, I have only done 4800 miles and wondering if the car needs a service, on the odo it says another 6000 miles before its due, however I called a couple of local dealers, one said in needs it now because its a year old, the other said not to get it done till it tells me its due.

does anyone have any opions/advice on if I should just get it done now?

Simply depends on whether your car has been set for Fixed, annual, service intervals or Variable - when the car says it needs one.

You should have this info in your service book, or ring the garage which supplied it.

If you bought it with free 3 year servicing then it should be serviced as per the Fixed schedule

mines on the 3yr free servicing - the dealer put a sticker on saying service at 10k miles OR 1 yr, whichever happened first
