Uprated/shorter drop links

Featured Replies

Is there such thing for the fabia as i noticed the other day that the bar that the drop link attaches to seems to be rubbing slightly on the drive shaft on the drivers side is there any shorter drop links to cure this.

I dunno if anyones else has the same fault.

Never seen that happen before.

Sure you can get shorter drop links but in Coilover kits etc.

Ive not needed to put shorter links on my coilovers at al, just using th exsisting ones.

I never hear it noking but i did notice signs of rubbing on the drive shaft the other day screwing my under tray back (again)

i doesnt look like it does it all the time maybe just on hard cornering as i cant hear it all the time.

I have seen that the FK coily kits come with shorter drop links

My Bilstein PSS kit came with shorter drop links, but apparently mondeo ones are shorter and and will work.

I was chatting to AMD Essex about V-Maxx coilovers I was told I would need the shorter drop links regardless of how much I was lowering it. They also sell them separately if you need them IIRC.

I've heard the same thing, about the Mondeo items

Think it's fair to say this will only pose a problem, potentially, to people running a coilover setup.

93 - 99 Mondeo drop-links I've heard.

BTW, could you check that the upper suspension bearings are OK. These can go and if they do they make a grating noise at low speeds when locking hard. I've a set ordered for mine.

just given my m8 a calll to find out about the mondeo droplinks as he works for ford gonna see howmuch they are maby get some and try fitting next week
