ive just got my vag lead and 501 software loaded on the computor and carnt get the lead to work. every time i go to test the usb lead vag crashes and wont reload can you help. ime running windows vista basic and not sure what else

implies that the older version may not work on Vista.

Have you tried running it in compatability mode for XP?

409 works on Vista as I use it :D

version 4.09 is the latest version of software you can use with your lead in Demo mode.

the software works its just when i go to pair the cable up in the options mode and then select com port when i click on usb and test vag crashes its version 409.1 not 501 sorry

Support is very limited for the eBay cables I'm afraid. It's not something that I have experienced myself.

i think it has some think to do with the settings on my computor but not sure what i think its the serial ports but dont know where to look
