boost gauge help please......

Featured Replies

4401SCBL-BAR.jpghi ive been looking at boost gauges and looking through old threads and couldnt find any answers. ive seen this autogauge boost gauge and was wondering whats best to go for bar or psi and whats the different between electrical and mechanical gauges

many thanks

bar and psi is just the measurement ie imperial or metric

as for electric of mechanical mine are mechanical and would be my recommendation as you just stick the boost pipe in the back and its done

Mine's an electrical gauge - it connects to a sender - so you tap the boost pipe and run that to the sender then wire back to the gauge itself

cheers guys for your help just one last question how easy are they to fit and how long does it take?

They're technically easy to fit but installing can take a while because you have to get the wires/pipe through from the engine bay, mount the gauge properly etc.

All that can be kinda fiddly.

Have a look at my website - there's a few pics of my boost gauge install and if you look in the ices section there's pics of where the grommet is to get from the engine bay to the cabin.
