Alloy Wheel Refurb Cost

Featured Replies

As some of you may know, I'm trying to sell my old alloys that are in need of refurbishment.

I've been asked about how much getting them refurbished would cost. Anyone had any done recently?

Recommendations for any companies that do this sort of work in the Windsor area would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Just as a comparison.

Company in Edinburgh,

Take car there for 8am.

They remove tyres, powdercoat the wheels, refit tyres, balance/valve etc.

Collect car by 2pm.

£190.

Cant say for your area, but cant see the prices going too wild from that.

Have you got any detail of where this was done? Or was it a mates rates job?

Its a good friend of mine in Leics, he has done loads for me. Takes about a week or so to turn a set around though but i'm usually in no rush.

See the last pic. See the red dot on the tyre. Next time you get that tyre off the rim ask the fitter to put it back on the rim with the red dot as near to the valve as possible.

Shouldnt need balancing then, if it does wont be as much weight to go on.

Steve

The gloss black and red rims look cool.
