Fabia Misfire

Featured Replies

Wife Fabia 1.4 8 valve seems to have developed a major misfire, also the engine management light is flashing then coming on permanently, going to struggle to get it to a garage in the next day or so, has anybody got any suggestions what could cause this which I could check myself. Thanks in advance

Have you done the usual stuff like checking the plugs leads/coilpack, airflow sensos, all the sensor plugs etc etc?

I'm not really up on petrol stuff. But theres NO doubt someone on here will be able to help you out mate

misfires normally associated with ignition system/timing/fueling etc...could be one of many things..really need someone who knows to av a look at it..

Is the 1.4 MPi basically the old Skoda 1.3 found in the Felicia?

Would disconnecting the batt for a day then reconnecting it to clear the ECU help?

Mmm

The 1.4 8v engine is the old push rod felicia engine

Yes , check the spark plus to make sure that they are all ok

That would be the start

Maybe worth getting it checked on VAGCOM too to see if it throws up any faults
