vrs tyre issues

Featured Replies

my octy vrs has really bad inner tyre wear ,i got new tyres about 9,000 miles ago and they are both badly worn on insides on the REAR tyres ,outside is like new ,is this a common issue ,how do you sort it out

That sounds like your rear wheels are out of alignment. The only way to confirm or deny that is a 4-wheel alignment check.

any idea of cost for that ken.

I suppose it depends where you go.

Last time i got it done (around 6 months ago)

It cost me £50

would save money in the long run i suppose ,will just have to put part worn's on till i get it done ,

Would probably get you an increase in fuel consumption too !

that's a bonus at the moment:)

Never needed it done, but £50 sounds plausible.

cost me about £50 iirc when had it done last time.

At the risk of sounding dull(again)

Is there much point in a 4WA when there is no adjustment on the rear axle or can the front be adjusted to take this into consideration ????

It could be bushes, rather than something non-adjustable.

It could only be the bushes or something bent iirc

It cost me £48 at local dealers about 3 weeks ago.

Cost me £76 to get it done but either way if something is bent they will be able to find out what

so the concencus is its my rear bushes or i have a possible bent axle is that fair to say ? i know what one i'm hoping for. performance is ok and wheels look ok on the car praying it;s the bushes

chances are if something is bent on the back it's likely to affect one side more than the other
