Starting problems after approx 100miles

Featured Replies

Hi! My fiend has a Felicia 1.3 which starts and stops fine hot or cold however after every 100ish miles I'm told it has trouble starting. I'm told you have to start the car with your foot full on the throttle, the revs start really low and you have to wait till they build up before you can do anything.

Any ideas whats wrong guys & girls?

P.S.

Crank sensor has been changed yet no change.

It looks like a hot breakdown in the HT circuit to me.

Does it run rough under high load when hot?

Could it be the throttle valve if its having idling problems?

Sounds like a fuel mixture problem. Foot to the floor is the procedure for starting a flooded engine, put a temperature sensor or complete thermostat in it and maybe a throttle body clean.
