Up front... I'm not a great fan of gaping maws on the front of cars but I feel the front end of my Furby is well, a plastic proboscis (sp).

Ideally, I'd like to know if it's possible to recess the numberplate, maybe mount it spaced forward off the crash beam. The sticking point then is it'd need a custom mesh or other wire screen to fit in the hole. Ideally, a 3d shape with rounded edges recessed towards the numberplate with buond edges.

Anyone seen anything similar?

back on-topic - the wide mouth seems to look a good mod. SWMBO put a spanner in the works when I showed her Jase's mongrel in the pub car park during a meet last year. She didn't like it, and since she is brill at style/interior design I was put off...

Lots of people have done it fairly easily - you have to get custom mesh and do some cutting. If you do a search - you'll get loads of info.

The problem is re-positioning the standard license plate, and there is some feeling that cutting the metal bumper bar is playing with safety....
