Dash vibration/rattle source found

Featured Replies

My VRS had developed a vibration that seemed to be coming form the centre of the dash. After much holding and pushing of various trim/dash parts I have sourced the issue.

If you look at the side of the centre consul in the drivers foot well, the carpeted part overlaps another carpeted section. Its this join that has been vibrating against one another pushing the sound/vibration to the top part of the dash.

Hope this info helps others out. :)

will look at mine when i get chance, mine makes that noise more often than not, took it to dealers and they said they checked everything etc, i even took them out in the car and tried to get the noise to re appear but it didn't grrr lol.

cool hopefully that solves it in my car also.

There should be one screw visable for holding these together. The other is located behind the ashtray (remove the gear stick surround, loosen two screws holding the ashtray, pop out ashtray and you'll see 1 screw for each side.)
