More 1/4 mile shenanigans! :D

Featured Replies

Thot i would post my 1/4 mile times from Crail this weekend. This is my 2nd visit this year.

1st run: 15.495 Sec TV: 92mph

2nd run: 15.779 TV: 90.9

3rd run: 16.051 TV: 91.5

4th run: 16.008 TV: 91.6

5th run: 15.534 TV: 92

6th run: 16.029 TV: 90.4

7th run: 15.831 TV: 91.8

my best time earlier this year was 15.989 secs. So its an improvement. BUT i cheated this time!

I removed the rear seats, spare wheel, parcel shelf and amps. Also no passenger this time. Saved almost 100KG.

Car is standard apart from Milltek Cat Back, Forge DV and Universal Mushroom filter in Yellow!

BTW off topic but Miss Sharapova is hot! ;)

Oh yes.

This is close to the 1/4mile time I found while considering my Octy RS. I think it was 15.4s TV 88mph. BTW, what was your 0-60 for your best run????

0-60mph or 0-60 foot?!

Can't measure a 0-60mph time for Crail.

I do hav the 0-60 foot time if thats any help! It was 2.415 secs for my best run.

BTW i think 15.495 is really quick for a standard car. The Renault Clio 172/182 runs low 15s i think.

Yeah...low 15s is good for a car that can't be classed as light ;)

I only ask about 0-60mph as I have never done a 1/4 mile run but I know 0-60, just wishing to compare!!!

I have said that I would be extremely happy to get it into late 14s, and TV around 100mph mark

vRS 2003, how much power r u running? Wot is your 0-60?

I would like to get down into the 14s as well! But i would need some more power first. Hopefully a de-cat, new manifold, K04 turbo and remap should giv enuf power.

Also a decent suspension kit and bushes so that the power can b transferred to the road properly!

My mate who has an MR2 Turbo ran a 13.317! Altho he does hav a proven 313BHP!!!

And RWD!

BTW Get your backside onto a 1/4 mile strip soon! Its well fun! :)

I've run a 7.11s, It's standard with K&N filter and Forge DV.......I would put it at an undocumented 190.....ish

PS.

1/4 mile strip
Would love to but am a bit of a wimp incase someone laughed at my Skoda!!!! Perhaps we could meet 'on mass' and take them by surprise!!!!

few lads at work are talking about doing a RWYB at Santa Pod soon, i'm thinking of going and running so when i have details i'll post them here incase anyone's interested.

[MontyBurns ON] Excellent!!!!!!!!! [/MontyBurns OFF]

Yepp I ran a 15.5 which is book stats on my old Clio 172 Mk2 with only 4,000 miles on the clock, the only reason why this car is quick is cause it weights f'ck all.
