Hi,

Was driving the car on M53 the other day, when suddenly no throttle response over 50mph...........just a whistle !

When stationary car starts and revs ok, but whistle from 2ooo revs upwards.....

RAC checked all turbo / intercooler pipes. Negative pressure in turbo/intercooler pipe.

No fault codes found by RAC

Car now towed to dealers...........Any ideas ??

dodgy actuator or blown turbo?

fabia has only done 26k.................but was remapped when new at STAR...................

why no codes shown nor warning lights

no codes or warning cause its mechanical and faults only show when electrical,

dont think it matters how many miles its done, some turbos just go, it might not even be that,

are you getting boost up to 50mph then it just goes?

any smoke from the back i.e more than normal?

boost up to 50 ish, not known if black smoke

when RAC compared my brothers fabia ,... the pipe between turbo and intercooler pressurised on accleration

When same thing done on my car the pipe contracted (as if sucked in)

boost leak / map sensor / egr valve,

i dunno other than that, wait for lumox or skud or jase to turn up they have a wealth of knowledge along with lots of others,

fingers crossed you get it sorted asap and cheap as possible,

car is only 17 months old so hope Skoda meet cost !

yeah thats the only prob, they might cover some of the cost but all is unlikely,

but it might not be the turbo could be just a dodgy actuator and the arm sticking and not working.

i hope its not turbo then..............

Dealer says its oil contamination, apparently turbo has shed debris onto intercooler, so both need replaced and "flush through"

car only done 26k and both services done early.

shouldnt of mapped from new me thinks /\

are you getting it paid for by SUK?

Lad near me has his vRS remapped and got it fixed by SUK because he knows a lad who works there (bit unfair if you ask me)
