OK, just had my VRS service done by a new place, and while I was there they showed me the can of oil... I noted it say 5W30... and now I'm here I see all your recommended oil are 5W40. They ordered the oil from VAG along with my car chaset number, so surely its right?

Is this a problem?

Don't quote me on this but the 5w30 is usually used in cold climates I think?

IIRC 5w30 is the lastest VAG longlife spec oil along with 0w30. I think as long as it meets or exceeds the recomended VAG 5xx.xx spec then it should be ok.
