brake fluid level - wheres the min/max mark??

Featured Replies

daft question but here goes....

where exactly is the min/max mark on the brake fluid container???

reason for asking....extremely stiff brake pedal under heavy braking..unlike any other car i've driven...took car to skoda garage months ago and they said all's fine...but checked brake fluid level this morning and its right to the top of the bottle...i don't know anything about hydraulics but if its overfull couldn't this explain the unusual feel of the brake pedal??? and also be placing unecessary pressure on the master cylinder type thingy??

the only markings on the bottle are " " i think thats what it says

any help appreciated as plan to syringe some fluid out if i can find exactly where the damn min/max mark is

cheers

If you have just had the pads changed I would expect the fluid to be high anyway, especially if you topped it up before changing the pads. Unless you have a leak in the system, then the fluid shouldnt really need any topups.
