2.0TDI DSG problem -

Featured Replies

Gilesk,

Your symptoms are exactly the same as my 2.0 TDI DSG (See unsmooth Skoda). Let me know if your re-mapping does any good. I am awaiting the Skoda warranty being posted, then I'm back to the dealers.

Hi Bob,

I am glad in a way that I am not alone, I am off to Beijing for 6 weeks on Saturday but when I get back Iwill let you know if the map helps. I was booting it this morning to stretch it legs on a toll road and out of the tolls took it to the red line in every gear and when I got to the city it was better.

Bought an Astra SXi (manual) and suffered from a sore neck/back since - beginning to think I should have got another Octavia DSG.............

While having my '06 DSG serviced last month I was talking to the sales manager and he mentioned that they had 2 new '08 DSG demonstrators in recently and both had jerky gear changes. They had to change the DSG clutches to fix the problem - he said there appeared to be a bad batch of DSG clutches.
