New VRS!

Featured Replies

A shiny new brilliant silver 2.0TFSI is now sitting happilly on my drive.

It's going to take me a while to stop driving it like a grandad after being used to a 1998 Octavia SLX with a 10 year old clutch... at least until tomorrow's morning commute (A-Roads and country lanes) I should think :o

And owing to an ordering error , I get another one in three months with all the toys & options that I'd wanted originally! I think I'll go and read the manual now...

That's one hell of a dealer **** up, so you get three months free motoring then?

Had that before with a Volvo, had ordered one with a passenger airbag, car arrived without one, a second brand new car within a couple of months.

I have to say I love the wifes VRS is one of the most impressive cars I have driven. For the moeney it makes me sick to think I spent more on an Audi :( and got so much less and not that buzz wanting to drive the car all the time. :)

The one I wanted had rear parking sensors, xenons, maxidot and satnav. This one's only got the sensors (and the freebie upgrade bits obviously).

Somehow when the order went through the other end didn't send back any confirmation and the dealer didnt notice until it rolled off the ship. Why such things are done over fax by hand in this day and age is beyond me :( They offered me a red one matching my spec, but i'm not fond of the colour.

Still, it gives me three months to practice and then I get new gadgets to play with, plus the closest match in the build schedule has active headrests and rain sensing wiper/dimming mirror/light thingies too which I'm only paying another £145 for.

Only £342 insurance too, compared to £330 for the 1.8 SLX!

All in all, I'm quite happy :)

Has anyone else noticed that the tyre pressure monitor icon looks a bit like a bum ?
