Hi all,

Got a forge adjustable strut brace and I have a problem already, just wondered if anybody has suffered the same problem.

Does it rattle of the air filter box?

I've stuck a bit of sponge between the filter and brace and it stopped it for a day and it worked itself loose.

Mine did that originally (seat sport strut brace)

You may have to attach the foam to the underside of the strut brace. I don't have this issue anymore though. Ditched the oem airbox.

Devontupia- Many thanks, the noise just sounds dreadful at first we thought the clutch had gone as it only happended when we changed gear!

I'm going to see about cutting a thicker bit of sponge/foam and stick it underneath the box but the brace I beleive was designed for the fabia.

Not sure if its worth looking at how the box is mounted, as most people seem to get away with the rattling you're suffering from. Might be something pushing the airbox upwards for some reason. When settled there should be a good inch gap between brace and airbox.

Cheers mate, I'll have a wee look tomorrow, could be the case it is not clipped in right or something like that, never thought of that, maybe having a play around with it might help.

i get a vibration when reversing but other than that no issues with my brace

i have the forge adjustable brace too,mine vibrates off the engine cover,so i took it off,and had to notch the braCE ON THE NEARSIDE MOUNT SO IT FIT ROUND THE BONNET PROP CLIP
