Ive had my furby vrs for a month now, loads of fun driving it fast and occasionally normally.

Today coming back from London with a qtr of a tank left id thought id drive at 50 to 60 mph all the way home...

Over a 60 mile journey the trip computer has shown 90mpg!!!

I know the trip isnt to be trusted 100% but im staggered.

Im may of helped that i spent 15 miles of the journey behind a lorry so i didnt meet as much wind resistance too lol.

What a real jekll and hyde car

Yes you're right. Normally I get 47 mpg regular as clockwork even if I thrash it or drive sensibly. Last week I tried short shifting and keeping it between 1.5 - 2k revs for a week. The journeys were just as quick but I averaged 58 mpg genuine measured from a tank to tank top-up, I love this car !!

P.S how close were you slipstreaming the lorry to get 90mpg !!! scary.

I can get 60 MPG in the wife's car :)

Oh i kept a safe distance dont worry lol.

Also when i hit urban areas (30 mph) i just stuck it in 6th gear and it trundled along between 27 - 31mph without having to have my foot on the accelerator!

Welcome to the forum

I did the same last week, and got the same result

I was experimenting to reduce fuel costs for my daily commute

No difference in time of travel, just an increase in mpg from 46 to 58 now

though a lot of pished off whitevan men when I stuck at 60, so I was tail gated most of the way and saw some scary chance takers overtaking

Normally I would have got embarrased, dropped a gear and booted it leaving them behind for ten minutes until they caught up again

National

I travelled 276 miles today and averaged 58.8mpg, this was with a full tank of optimax.... still got over half a tank left

Not sure that's doing the engine a lot of good.

:)

My wife did a 408 mile trip this weekend to Yorkshire and back, and limited cruising speed to 60mph to improve mpg for the trip. Trip 2 recorded 71.0 mpg but the actual brim to brim figure was 52.80 mpg.
