ABD Racing inlet manifold

Featured Replies

I should have this in the next dew days!

I will post fitting pics etc. when doing it later in the week.

I'm not sure what extra ooomph it will give, it will at least look very, very nice:D

I know Des and Leeboy have them fitted to their beasts, but does anyone else have any experiences with them?

Cheers,

Steve:)

nice, did you pay the extra $100 or so for ceramic coating?

No direct experinence, but I'll be interested in you general impressions of it. Build quality etc. Can you post some pics of the inside if possible?

Not ceramic coated but polished instead. It would've been worth having it if the inside was ceramic lined.

With it being a small port head it would be worthless paying an extra $399 for to be honed and ported even more.

Oooo, shiny bits.

Steve, you will need a 2 into 1 adapter for the outlet under the manifold. Your stock one has 2 outlets.

Pity they dont do one for the APX/BAM

Yes i have one on the beast:cool: nice and shiny:D

the ceramic coating is to stop heatsoak in the manifold, nothing to do with flow. :)

******, the polished was the same price as the ceramic manifold.... I should've had that instead!!!

Put a power gasket on instead, just as good. :D

I get the impression that he would be ever so pleased if you could (fully) elaborate on the requirement for a 2 into 1 adapter :P

what he said :)

what does the 2-1 adapter go between?

having not looked at a manifold off of the car before i assumed it only had an in(1 inlet where the TB is) and 4 outlets(the cylinders) then 4 holes for the injectors :)

oh i forgot to ask, what about a heat resisting gasket aswell as a ceramic coated manifold? :D

Poking out the bottom of the stock mani are 2 pipes about 8mm dia. On the ABD unit there is only 1, hence the need for a Y shaped plastic adaptor to connect both hoses onto. 2 into 1 so to speak.
