Hi guys,

i have a 2000 x reg, skoda fabia 1.9 sdi, and i've noticed that while the car is idle, sitting in neutral, that it revs up to about 1200rpm , or down to about 900rpm, is this normal, also about 1 times out of 10 on starting the engine that it will rev itself up to about 1500rpm, is this something to worry about?

Get your car read for faults with VAG-COM. I'd take a guess at the accelerator position sensor maybe being a bit shaky.
