Brake pad low warning

Featured Replies

My car had new disks and pads fitted at 81k when I brought it, it has now covered nearly 101k.

The other day I was driving along and the warning light came on accompanied with a long beep.

When I next got in to drive it was off then after about 10 mins of driving same happened.

This has happened several times and it is now off again and refuses to come on no matter how much I provoke it.

I had new pads delivered today and am waiting for a dry day to fit them, got to get it done soon as the dreaded MOT is up next month :thumbdwn:

Is this normal behaviour as the pads wear to near the point of making the circuit? I thought the light should stay on once it comes on until new pads are fitted

Depends how much of the sensor is making contact. Its sounds like its just starting to rub through now so will be permanent soon i would think. If that makes sense.
