The slave cylinder is on top of the gearbox - not that easy to get at.

Just wanted to post an update on my clutch judder as maybe could be useful to other people. Recently had my alternator pulley and belt tensioner replaced as it went and was making a horrible noise when steering and since then my clutch has been perfect, no intermitant juddering at all. Can this be right ?

thanks

Could be that the car was kept in a dry place for a while.

Clutch judder strongly depends on humidity. My car behaves perfectly, until 2-3 consecutive days of rainy weather. Then it starts juddering, which goes away after 1-2 days of sunshine.

I guess corossion of flywheel or moisture in the clutch lining is the problem.

I thought about plugging the clutch housing holes (bottom of the 6-spd box), but I'm not sure about cooling there - perhaps then it'll start overheating.
