Bleedin computers!

Progress has been made  My old original computer is still stuffed but Mr P mentioned something about a box he is going to buy and take one of our hard drives out (we have two, one is running the original ME and the other runs XP) and plugging it into this box to connect it up to the 2nd computer to see if it really is gone for good. I do hope not because all my pics of Harri from when she was a tiny pup are on there :(

The second computer which is XP (sorry Ken, miscommunication!) but kept dropping the internet connection has been fixed by using an extra network card so that's less annoying. I have made a decision on the laptop aswell and will be getting the Acer Aspire 5920 from play.com for £380 when it's back in stock. It has the intel duel 2 core, 2ghz, 2GB, 120GB. I think that is more than adequet for my lowly needs.

Thanks to everyone apart from ThePitts, who is banned anyway :D

There are new-fangled thingies called CDs and DVDs - and you can use them to store 'priceless' stuff.

Mind, they do run expensive at about 12p each

My goodness, it's the king of sarcasm! Thank God you are around to rub my nose in what could be a very costly lesson to learn.:D
