Just cleaned out my egr valve and what a difference it as made. She runs a lot better and seams to rev moor freely.

And best of all that dam check light as not come on :thumbup:

I've never seen a nice proper thread on blanking the egr without any engine management lights and such things. Can you point it out for me, please?!

You can only "turn it down to minimum" :) Still some recirc'ing going on.

Where is it on the engine?

Is it true if you replace this/or do something with it it reduced smoke ? or is this just cleaning it ?

Follow the boost pipe from the intercooler to a unit with a flat disc on the top of it.
