Fabia lose side indicator housing

Featured Replies

Hi,

My side indicator housing (as in the one just back from the front wheel) has come lose. I noticed it when cleaning the car the other day that it now slightly moves when rubbing it. Is this something easily tightened? I couldn't see any access so was just wondering if I should get it fixed under warranty?

Cheers

Ed

Most side repeater lenses unclip by pushing them one way or another along the wing. Push it about a bit and it should either come loose (push the other way) or tighten up.

Unfortunatley this isn't the case on mine, instead it pulled out

The housing it's self doesn't look damaged it just won't sit snug. Think i'm going to pop into the garage and see if i can get a replacement as my warrenty is about to come up so want to get all things sorted with it before that.

Cheers

Normally, you shouldn't be able to remove them from the front. Usually you need to undo a couple of screws in the wheelarch liner and squeeze a hand round the back of the unit to unclip it. Think there's a clip you squeeze to free it. That clip's springiness outward (cracking use of grammar there :D) is what holds the unit in place. (I think)

That sounds about right, and i guess i'm missing the screws and maybe a clip. Off to the garage i go!

Cheers!

No screws involved - I was referring to the ones which hold the archliner in - T20 torx. When you remove those you can get your hand in behind the wheelarch liner and release the clip for the indicator housing from the inside. :) That squeezy clip thing on the side is all that holds them in.
