Diesel manual for me, although I agree with the diesel/DSG/dark colour argument.

Only thing that worries me about the newer DSG's is the size of that clutch... :eek:

I was told this was not possible ? are you saying that if you flip the paddles when the gear selector lever is in "D" it will still change the ratios ? if so this is good as my Audi tiptronic did this an it was a feature i liked.

(is yours petol or diesel ?)

jcblincs - can confirm works in all gears - up or down when in auto mode also if you make no more manual changes after about 30 seconds switches back to auto, hope this helps

cool - exactly what my audi tiptronic did. very useful if you are a manual river at heart and need some engine braking when approaching a sharp bend , or when towing !

I swear when our demo first turned up the paddles didn't work unless the gear selector was in manual mode but just drive again and the paddles control the gears even when it's in D now.

Very odd. Or maybe I'm going insane.

is it the same demo car you have driven again or is it a different one ? maybe you have to be going above a certain speed ?
