Bumper Scratch & Dint/Paint Repairs - Recommendtaions Sheffield Area?

Featured Replies

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

I was hoping for some recommendations for someone local to me (Sheffield, UK) who can repair a (deep) scratched bumper (with parking sensors) and a large paint chip on the rear drivers side door.

Also anyone who is not too expensive on refurbing alloy wheels as the Fabia wheels are starting to flake.

Been away in Czech for the last couple of weeks and when Ive got back to my car theres a massive chip in the paint on one of the doors and a bad/deep scratch on the rear bumper. I just hope its repairable without having to take the bumper off and take out the parking sensors.

The car was immaculate before this (with a lot of help from the former keeper) and Ive kept on top of the cleaning and general tidying up so the car was in first class condition.

I know you have to expect some road battle scars but this kind of damage really annoys me as it's simply inconsiderate and totally avoided if people just had a bit more respect. :mad:

Thanks in advance.

I haven't used any bodyshops in Sheffield but my car is going into a bodyshop in Wakefield for the rear bumper to be repaired after someone drove into the back of it.

They've quoted £278 +VAT which is

* bumper off

* strip all paint off

* fill and smooth scratches

* respray whole bumper

* replace black bumper strip (with new one)

* refit bumper

I'll let you know what the workmanship is like afterwards if you like

Thanks, thats sounds like a fair amount of work and a large bill.

Have you got parking sensors? I susspect these will add to the price.
