Should be getting my new Superb today :D I'll of course be taking it for a quick spin when in comes - which got me thinking - do I need to run it in? Should I keep under a certain amount of revs for a couple of hundred miles?

Can't remember what I did for the outgoing 2.0 petrol Passat, though I'm sure I wasn't too soft on it, and that is running perfect after 3 years and 61,000 miles.

Never had a diesel before- must remember to go to the right pumps :eek:

The manual says to keep it under 2/3 of maximum revs for the first 1000 miles , but 3k RPM is still enough to move you round at a decent pace.
