Problems with changing discs?

Featured Replies

Hey I changed my discs in the front, the guide screw was a big problem the first one, the screw was jamed would not move even heat treated it after about hour i got it out! the second one cracked had to drill it out, I used a replacement just a standard screw would that be okay?? anyone have advise for the future:confused:

Dont have to have the screw, its not essential.

Top tip impact driver or just hit the front face of the disc with a hammer around the screw and it will undo.

All they do is hold the disc in place whilst the wheel is off. Some cars don't even have them.

You can normally buy them from decent motor factors, copper slip should stop them seizing again.
