Hi,

I just checked by oil level (Fabia VRS 06), a couple of months after having it serviced at Skoda dealer. The level is above the kink and just under the faint line.

Is this too high? If so what's the easiest way of reducing it?

top line max lower line min..may need to take sump plug out and let a little out.

Don't worry about it, my vRS was slightly high after a service but it soon burns it.

You want to be checking it more than every 2 months if you do a lot of miles, they will use oil, mine uses about 500ml per 10,000 miles.

So long as it's not right up the stick so the crankshaft is sitting in it you will be fine.

the Oil doesnt get burnt in the traditional way you imagine burning oil.

for example oil getting past piston rings and valve stem oil seals.

there is no fault with the engine..... so where does the oil go :confused:

Well if you look on the top of the pd engine theres a right angled pipe that connects the cam case vent to the turbo intake pipe.

Basically pressure in the cam case causes oil to be thrown up and into the turbo intake pipe. the oil then gets sucked into the turbo then forced round the intercooler pipes and eventually the intercooler and then the inlet manifold. thats where the oil goes.
