i just bought an octy vrs..... f**king great car...

the sticker says that the car is on QG1 service.... but the dealer i bought it -one of the bigest skoda dealers in my country- wrote down to the servive manual to bring the car fot the first oil change at 5000Kms !!!!!!!!

what is going on? i am reading in here that the car will tell me when it wants oil change...is this ok or they just want to make some money??

i envy you for your roads out there.... my country is great at football as you all know by now... but the road makers sucks....

QG1 is variable, 1st service will be about 28000 kms. Even if they switched you to fixed servicing the 1st service is not due till 16000 kms.

Could it be that Skodas sold in Greece are subject to different service intervals to those in the colder, wetter and less dusty parts of Europe? Perhaps some of our many Greek members could post what their car's service intervals are for QG1 (variable servicing intervals). Meanwhile a big welcome to you, ozzy. :wave:
