Can we merge these two threads please Mr Mod, or close one and link into the other as it's getting v confusing?

To the OP, I replied with my thoughts in your other thread.

I should put the one post on not two seperate post regarding this. Sorry Briskoda:(

Might be worth asking if they can let you have the discs and pads at trade price so you can do them

I had Renault replace my pads free of charge on my Megane @ 20k as they had been binding and worn out prematurely. 61k on the original pads on my Octy II so far.

I phoned Skoda UK today, and the man l spoke to informed me what happens next after the visual inspection (wheels off) is upto the dealer. The car is being dropped off Friday morning (to get another problem fixed), But now 26,000 miles later (we bought the car at 14,810 miles) l don't see why me and dad should be forking out £185 for 2 x disc's and pads.

D-Day this Friday:(

Thanks

Andy

As the car will still be out of warranty, and if they will not change them for free, you can get new discs and pads from a car shop for a quarter of the price, I paid £22 per disc and £22 for the pads

You were all right the dealer said the disc's and pads are not covered under warranty. I will be hopefully buying drilled and grooved disc's along with uprated pads from GSF in Glasgow. Fingers crossed :)

DONT GET DRILLED!!!!!!! they have a nasty habit of cracking between the drilling, just stick with grooved :)

Hi All,

The disc's and pads were fitted on Saturday morning at my Dad's work. Unfortunately not Black Diamond. I now have EBC Turbo groove disc's with dimples and EBC Redstuff pads.
