I replace a caliper on my Favorit and for a while all was fine for weeks. Now after about half hours drivng it sqeals badly when I turn the steering wheel slightly left or right. When I did the change I found that there was a shim siliconed to the back of the Disc pads. This was hanging of so I removed them both as they looked like they didnt belong. If they need to be there what do I glue them on with.

You've removed the anti-squeal shims from the pads. I don't know exactly how they fit on the Favorit, but you might be able to quieten it down with Copaslip.
