Headlight-on reminder alarm

Featured Replies

My Headlight-on reminder alarm has suddenly stopped working and it is only a matter of time before I leave them on over night. Has anybody got any idea how this may have happened, or more to the point, how I can get it working again? How can I check the door switch is working? Also after checking fuses my airbag light is permenantly on. Any ideas? Cheers.:)

Mine has just done the same. I went in to work early late last week and left my parking lights on all day. Dead battery when I came out to go home. Now my battery is giving me grief. Would like to know how to fix the alarm though. Any thoughts?

It's funny you should say that, it must be a common problem, my fabia doesn't warn me.

Although it knows when the door has been opened and ran an output test on vagcom and all the chimes, dongs etc work in the dash.

mine has also stopped warning me, it used to take about 10-15 seconds to warn me, usually by that time i would have closed it. drained my battery a fair few times aswell

Are the red door lights and interior light working when you open any of the front doors ?.If they work for just a second and then go off automatically the driver's door lock could be shot. It's got the door contact switch incorporated in it,if it's not the case.the headlight illumination buzzer is part of the instrument cluster.
