Aerial

Featured Replies

Neede to get the car washed in a 'proper' car wash this morning. Not something I usually do but I had dipped the back end when launching the boat last night and wanted to get the salt all washed off with the underbody wash.

When I went to unscrew the aerial it doesn't come off completely but folds flat, and then flops around so I didn't rrust it to not get ripped off. Anyone put there car through a machine wash successfully?

if i was you id just try and use the jet wash at the garage. much safer. it probably would go through ok with the ariel up but would you risk it?

Haven't put mine through a car wash but someone did nick my aerial in the first couple of weeks of ownership so it must come off (Fabia 2 1.4TDi) - everything but the stub that is attached to the roof was missing!

Worked it out, you lay it flat and then tighten it up again.

The aerial should come off by un screwing it with ease. You can always buy a sparte from the poundshop / 99 pence very short but functions very well.

You can only loosen it, it doesn't come off...
