Is there any difference between the factory fitted Rear parking sensors & dealer fit sensors on a Fabia 2 .

I was lead to believe that the factory fitted items show a distance display on the radio & dealer fit do not - is this correct or is there no real difference?:confused:

i can confirm my factory fitted one has a little display on the radio, not sure about the dealer fitted one sorry.

I think the factory fitted sensors are colour coded and the dealer fitted are black.

My factory fit sensors show a display on the radio, and also the radio volume is reduced( adjustable in the radio menu) when reverse is selected, presumably so that the sensor beebs can be heard.

Dealer 'forgot' to put them on the order along with column mounted radio control, only factory fit option I ordered and got were underseat boxes.

There was nothing that could be done about the radio controls but the rear sensors were fitted at the dealer and luckily they were white to match the vehicle colour and to be honest they made a very good job fitting them.

Got a refund on the radio controls and free mats and mud flaps, still miss the column radio controls as I had them on the Focus..........:(

On the flagship 3 grade, the parking sensors are standard fit, while the remote radio control and rear power windows are both factory fit extras - seems a bit stingy omitting these as standard on a range topper. Also why the radio remote does not include Bluetooth HFT on UK models is another very perculiar mystery?? :confused:

The dealer fit ones are black and can be painted, you don't get the radio display, they have a small speaker that you place in the boot and it chirps at you.

I got a set of genuine skoda dealer fit jobbies on Ebay last week for £20 (hell of a saving) and am going to try to get them fitted to the vroomster next week sometime.

Are you sure they can't retro fit the radio control, surely it is just a replacement set of column switch's and a bit of coding? if I was you I would dig my heals in and tell them to sort it out. After all Cruise can be retro fitted and that's more complex than the radio controls.
