N95 - how do I edit my contacts...

Featured Replies

How do i edit my contacts on the PC Suite - or other way? It seems to have copied my contacts from my sim in a random way muddling up names and adding a /1 after every contact. I cba doing it on the phone as I have too many contacts.

yeah, just looked mate and its quite simple :)

open pcsuite, go to contacts, your phone, contacts then double click the contact to open it and edit it :)

Mine did that, was your last phone a Sony Ericsson of some description? As Bengie says, just go into contacts in PCSuite and edit them from there.

Thanks chaps.

Yes was a k850i - after the 7th one malfunctioned, thought i'd give the Nokia a go.

You should be able to export all your contacts to a CVS file, then you can edit them in word or excell ;)

I did it in outlook's address book in the end. I couldnt find @contacts@ anywhere in the grim Nokia PC suite. I hate Nokias. I hate this phone, and I hate the PC suite, but I'm stuck with this now, or back to the unreliable but much nice SE K850i's.

It's the blue book second row in the middle.

That must be my problem, thats not the same pc suite I got on a disk in the box

ahh, get the latest one of the nokia webby.. tiz much better

i only updated mine today, i have been running the old one for ages with no issues at all. infact its probably easier to use as it has names under the icons :)

Come on Dave, sort yourself out! Surely you know that the N95 is a super device, for so many fine upstanding Briskodians to own one ;)

It *is* grim- it's bloatware. It works well enough though.

I find the new nokia s/w can't even see the contacts I have stored on my 6500 classic if they are on the SIM. Total pants! Doing a full backup of the phone makes the nokia s/w crash when on bookmarks (skipping the bookmarks it apparently finishes ok).

Got that now Steve thanks mate, and yes it is easy to use, compared to the wierd one shipped with the phone.

I still hate the phone though.

Any reason why you're not liking the N95?

After you've added a few useful apps (there are 1,000s out there), oh and the light sabre app, you'll love it.

If you use BT or Yahoo mail, then the Go! app is usefull.
