BLT Stutter and economy

Featured Replies

My vRS is meant to be going in to the garage next week for it's first service. Whilst it's there I'm going to get them to fix the stutter. Is this likely to have any effect on economy? If the answer is yes, will it make any difference if I try and get them to use the standard 9mm gasket instead of drilling it out to 14.5mm?

i've no idea which one the dealer fitted in mine but it completly cured the stutter:D

Hi,

Had the same problem with mine. Skoda put the new gasket in the wrong, easy to reach, position when I asked them to fix it. Buy the 9mm gasket (Part No for the gasket is 028 131 547B) and drill it out to roughly 10mm to prevent the warning light coming on. It goes in the hard to reach, round the back position on the egr system. Its not that hard to do.

In terms of economy I havn't noticed any difference, maybe only that its much nicer and easier to drive at slow speeds.

They put mine in the easy to reach position. Took it out and replaced it with the 9mm in the same place. No issues after approx 15,000 miles.

i changed mine in the easy possy in front of the oil filler..no probs either.
