Hi, I'm putting some Infinity components in the front door of my Fabia VRS, they have a mounting depth of 62mm, how big a spacer am I going to need. I was thinking a couple of 18mm MDF's on each side but will that cause problems re-fitting the door cards.

I fitted 170mm diameter Kenward speakers in my SDi. You will get 36 mm (2 X 18mm )MDF spacers in Ok without altering the door cards. I brought ready made spacers on Ebay. You will find the plastic speaker grill on the door card slopes ,and the space is thinner at the bottom by approx 5 mm. The clearances on my SDi are 10mm at the top,and 5mm at the bottom.

You door card may have a different design and clearances.
