Axle stands

Featured Replies

Okies, had a quick search and still stuck. Most of my time is spent above the car; but where is the best spots (front & rear) on a Fabia to rest on axle stands? Knowing me I'll manage to make big holes unless someone can give me a little help? Pics would be ideal; if not treat me as if I were as knowledgable as a 4yr old child.

Thanks,

when jacking up the front I put the axle stands under the wishbone bush the big round metal bit

i jack and place axel stands on the up on the two beams that run along the underside of the car. they stick/stand out from the rest. mine is a 1.4 mpi. dont know if designs change

I have fitted 4-off Audi TT jacking point protectors to the correct points and use the trolley jack at these points, axle stands are meant to be placed at the "arrowed" points which are where you fit the car's jack - but make up some sort of hard wood etc adaptor with thick rubber plant isolation material to protect the chassis and paint.
