I just bought an official touch up kit from Skoda, its the official one and you get the paint stick along with a lacquer pen.

Does anyone know what the lacquer pen is for? Is it to be used after the paint stick as a finish off seal?

Some advice would be appreciated.

Yes, metallic paint has a satin finish and the glossy shine is obtained with a clear lacquer over the top.

Wait for the colour to dry and then apply the lacquer over the top.

The colour one is a base coat then lacquer over the top.

Another way to do it is to mix a little of each then apply. Don't use the brush provided as you'll end up with too much paint. If you can find a very fine brush that should be o.k but I tend to use a tooth pick.
