How on earth do you change these ???

I've got a tdi estate and every other bulb in the car so far has given me no problems.

Does the headlight need to come out , if so how ???

Really got me baffled to say the least.

Yes you have to take the headlight unit out. its a right pain in the a**e. There is a plastic nut above the headlight unit which you undo and then it slides out. I think it covers this in the owners handbook somewhere near the back, but the instructions aren't fantastic.
