I have a Skoda Octavia 1.9SDI 2002 and about 9 months ago had new clutch and gearbox fitted. This morning my clutch immediately stiffened as i was driving along and has been getting worse. I can change gear but i have to push the clutch to the floor really hard, much harder than before. Any ideas?

Check the level of the brake fluid reservoir. No joke; the brakes and clutch use the same reservoir.

Failing that, you should have a 12 months warranty on the new clutch and box (presumes Skoda parts from dealer).

The car is already at the place i had the clutch and gearbox fitted so will find out whats wrong with it tomorrow. thanks though.
