Clipped my wing mirror.

Featured Replies

I clipped my n/s wing mirror on Sat during a rushed reverse.

The mirror popped apart and flipped back but I've cracked the repeater lens and the mirror isn't quite clipping together properly.

Is the repeater lens or the lens and led section available to buy or do Skoda try to make you buy a whole mirror? The mechanism of the mirror is fine.

Nowt on Ebay for the moment.

Had a similar thing happen to my passenger mirror on friday, a DHL lorry decided to take my lane on a roundabout, the back end caught my mirror, popped the cover off and broke the indicator/puddle light lens. Just bought a new unit from Skoda £32, so guess what I'm doing after work !

Not the end of the world then. I had visions of my Dad's mate who was over £500 for a new mirror for his Legacy.

They are £16.30 from the dealers, i had one replaced when i had my over expensive service

had mine replaced but wasnt told the price (insurance) but you can replace just the indicator part.

As I stated mine was an indicator + puddle light unit for £32, not just the indicator.

but its just the lens bit you actually need or have you broken the bulb parts inside?

Unfortunatley Skoda only sell the unit as a whole, lens, indicator LED (puddle light if required) and housing.

The part itself is quiet cheap, took me about 5 mins to swap mine after I broke it. The top part of the housing is only held on by 2 clips, so if its most likely one of the locating clips not being locked correctly.
