Anyone Good At Photo-Shop

Not sure I like the Superb right in the centre of the boot, can anyone move it to the left lower edge to let me see what it looks like?

Just a quick cut and paste in paint but you get the idea

Cheers Gizmo, I think that looks much better, what does everyone else think?

Gizmo, hate to be a pest, but any chance of moving both badges to the top lip of the boot, inside the space above the lights?

I think I'd debadge it myself.

Here you go, try that:

Think i prefer it bottom left personally.

Cheers again Gizmo, and yeah I agree with you, is better on the lower edge

Down low looks better - up high makes it look like an old Renault Safrane IMO...

Agreed, it looks to like the Safrane to me anyway, without putting the badges in the same place

Damn, I forgot how ridiculous the Safrane looks. French cars always amused me, I was looking at an Avantime the other day. Sheer genius....

one thing the safrane has the skoda superb hasnt......and thats a rear wiper....wonder if its an optional exra that hasnt been thought of yet

Saloons rarely (if ever?) get a rear wiper, and as the Superb is a saloon ............ albeit with a tailgate as well

There have been quite a few saloons (booted cars) fitted with rear wipers, I even remember a Ford Escort saloon (was it badged Orion?) with one fitted. When the Octavia 1 came out it had no option of a rear wiper either, and everyone knocked it for that, and Skoda backed down and fitted one, wonder if the same will happen with the Superb 2

I think these rear wipers aren't really necessary, it is only more of a comfort thing I feel, you only need two wing mirrors to reverse successfully anyway.

OT

the safrane was the a barge... my dad had a 2.0 12v (in line 4) from 94 - 97 and i was "lucky" enought to get a drive in it a couple times..... he saw sence and traded it for a M-B C180(but b4 the safrane he had 4 R 25s )

The original Superb didn't have one, and I can't say I missed it in four years of ownership. The aerodynamics were such that the flow of air over the car used to clear most of it anyway.

If it's a problem, then there's always Rain-X. The water will just bead and run away, so problem solved.

Bagpuss.

who stocks rain-x ? never thought of using a product that beads rain water away...seems a better option than having no rear wiper!! must visit halfords and other car accesory shops more often

Halfords definitely stock it. Being honest, I usually use it on both front and rear screens. Once you get over about 40mph, you don't even need to use the front wipers. It makes a huge difference to visibility when it's really p**sing down.

I think the car it most looks like is the last Ford Granada, the hatchback one.

This 1:confused:

Yup, it's the rear wings and overall length that do it, I know the rear glass on the side profile is wrong, but this is what it puts me in mind of.
