Hi mustisahin.

There are some copies of UK-spec Fabia I brochures (from various years) here.

It looks like Side Airbags were a factory-fitted option on Ambiente models in the UK.

Hope this helps

Hi David,

you are great, it is benefit too for me,

i just believe that my car is original Fabia :-), thank for your explanations,

and do you know why Skoda ceased the production of my car 1,4TDI 75bhp engine and replaced by the new 1,4TDI 70bhp or 80bhp engines,

what is your opinions? which engine is more productive?

my car is seems has most advantage engine against 1,4TDI 70bhp and 80bhp :-)

isn't it?

My wife has a 75 BHP & I have an (80 BHP with 120 Emission - £35.00 Road Tax) both 1.4 TDIs, the 75 BHP is much quicker in all gears, however the 80 BHP is not far behind and more economical especially with a PD160 pipe and adaptor.

mogwye: What parts did you need to fit the PD160 pipe to a 1.4TDI? I know it makes some difference to the VRS when used with green panel filter etc, but have you noticed any difference since fitting it?

Cheers

G.

Hi,

As I have said I fitted both the parts required and I obtained them from a SEAT Dealer.

Part numbers -

6LL 129 621 (trumpet)

6LL 129 618 (pipe)

It simply replaces the original, small bore, Trumpet & Pipe and utilises the original Air Filter housing and Air Filter. Looks as original but a slightly bigger pipe.

Easy to do, it's a 5 - 10 minute job.

Increases low down grunt, smoother pick up and better MPG by only using up to 2,500 - 3,000 RPM.

Check this out

If you want get a better idea of the extra low down grunt, smoother pick up and better MPG before purchasing the PD 160 air intake modification, you can do this temporarily.

Simply remove the original air intake pipe by undoing the posidrive fixing where it connects to the air filter housing, pull out the pipe and then pull the pipe off the trumpet part which is attached to the front panel.

Granted it makes more in-car cabin noise but you can feel the difference it makes to the engine. Obviously the noise disappears when you re-fit either the original or the upgraded parts.

This suggestion, which works, is not recommended as a permanent fix but only as a short distance test and trial.
