Seat Covers? (thread no: eleventy billion)

Featured Replies

Ive searched and there seems to be a lot of thread which which talk about some seat covers been made up but no results?

im looking for some seat covers just to slow down the fraying of the seats as my passenger seat has started to show signs of it.

the seats will be wet vaxed again soon and then properly scotchguarded but the front seats could do with a bit more.

id like seat covers which dont look nasty (im shallow sorry) and fit well as my experience of seat covers in the past isnt great. i dont want ones that look chavvy and have max power written all over them either!

so now ive posted my fussy requests whats out there?

Sorry to invade your thread. I am also looking for similar seat covers which allow for side airbags if anyone can advise.

I fully expect this to be proved wrong, but I'm not aware of any way of fitting seat covers to cars with sidebags. Well, not if the bags are to continue working properly anyway.

There used to be a couple of companies advertising in the likes of "Car Mechanics" who did made to measure covers, rather than the stretchy "fake fur" varieties found in Halfrauds.

Plenty of companies offer seat covers suitbale for airbags.

I got my set from Halfords tailored for an Ocatvia and the price was £80 for the full car, seem to be lasting preety well. Had to wait about 3 weeks for them.

any pics?

for side airbags i think they just need velcro in the side but i wouldnt want to count on it.

The problem with a lot of the ones in Halfords is that they have small print saying that they shouldn't be used for prolonged periods on light coloured seats.

STD seat covers dont have velcro on them. All thats needed is the are stitched in such a way the split thats all.
